Mr. Syed Ahmed
MA LLB
Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Enrolled on the Dhaka Bar in 1962 and
the Supreme Court Bar
in 1966.
Mr. Ahmed is Practicing law for over forty years. He is one of the leading
trial lawyers of the country and an expert on procedural laws including the
Code of Civil Procedure. He is highly successful in matters relating to civil
claims, money recovery, compensation and damages etc. His further expertise
lies in laws relating to land and real estate. The firm is also dependent on
him for Arbitration matters. Over the years he has provided service to a huge
number of public and private companies, authorities, organizations and
government departments including the Power Development Board and Rural
Electrification Board. He has a very wide clientele base.
As the senior founding member, Mr. Ahmed provided the impetuous and
inspiration behind the formation and success of the firm.
Dr. Naim Ahmed LL B (Hons) LL M
(Dhaka) Ph D (SOAS, London) Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Enrolled
on the Dhaka Bar in 1991 and the Supreme
Court Bar
in 1992.
Dr. Ahmed is the main strength of the firm in all matters relating to
constitutional, appellate and revisional cases in the High Court Division. He
is also retainer of a number of multinational and local companies. He also
covers business and commercial matters including foreign investment,
contracts, banking laws, laws of carriage, letters of credit etc. The chamber
also relies on him to deal with company cases before the High Court Division.
Dr. Ahmed is an expert on public interest litigation and has authoritative
publications on the issue. He delivers lectures as resource person at the
Dhaka University, Bangladesh Bar Council and a number of other organisations
and NGOs. He is also responsible for the research projects conducted by the
firm on behalf of a number of NGOs and multinationals.
Mr. Saifur Rashid LL B (Hons.) LL M
(Dhaka) Barrister-at-law, (Of Lincoln’s Inn) Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Enrolled on
the Dhaka Bar in 1991 and the Supreme
Court Bar
in 1992.
Mr. Rashid is a very successful trial lawyer. He conducts revisional,
appellate and review cases in the High Court Division. He is also serving a
number of companies on behalf of the firm. Mr. Rashid is skilled in all
aspects of employment and service laws. The firm also highly values his
experience with the procedures of mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Rashid is presently taking care of the administrative functions of the
firm.
Mr. Mainuddin Faruque MA LLB
Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Enrolled on the Dhaka Bar in 1989 and
the Supreme Court Bar
in 1995.
He is a very able trial lawyer, especially in criminal matters. His
responsibilities also include family matters of all types. The firm also
depends on his expertise in money recovery cases of Banks and other Financial
Institutions. He is serving as panel lawyer of several Banks and
Semi-governmental organisations.

Akteruzzaman MA, LL B, Advocate, Supreme Court
of Bangladesh. Enrolled on the Dhaka Bar in 1996 and the Supreme Court
Bar in 2002.
He is mainly responsible for civil trial including family matters in the
District Courts. He deals with all matters relating to authorisation,
permission etc. from government authorities and departments including
registration of documents. He is also a panel lawyer of Bangladesh Railway.
Mr. Khondoker Shahriar Shakir LL B (Hons), LL M, Advocate,
Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Enrolled on the Dhaka Bar in 2000 and the Supreme Court Bar
in 2001.
He started his career as a Public Interest Lawyer. He has expertise on Public
Interest Litigation and policy advocacy. He has the wide experience of field
level activism and international policy lobbying. His expertise lies in
environmental and human rights issues. He is providing service to a number of
companies on behalf of the firm.
